Dr. Chelsea Salas-Tam is a family medicine and sports medicine physician at Esperanza Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center in North Philadelphia. Originally from Southern California, Dr. Salas-Tam moved to Philadelphia to attend Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed both her family medicine residency and sports medicine fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. During her fellowship, she found the utility of POCUS both empowering for physicians and healing for patients. She loves ultrasound-guided procedures and helping patients understand musculoskeletal pathology through live imaging with POCUS. At Esperanza Health Center, Dr. Salas-Tam practices both primary care and sports medicine. She believes POCUS is incredibly powerful in bringing exceptional medicine to low-resource settings where patients equally deserve high-quality care.
