Jacquelyne N. Wamalwa is a game-changing Nurse/Midwife, with a passion for maternal, newborn, and reproductive health. Experienced Nurse Midwife with exceptional skills in sonography. Having had a background in Nursing in 2005, a Diploma in medical diagnostic Ultrasound in 2007, (ECUREI-Ernest Cook Ultrasound Research Institute) affiliated with Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, a BScN in 2017, and an MSC in Midwifery 2024.

Currently working with Bungoma County, Kenya as reproductive health coordinator in one of the sub-counties. She has great and enriched experience as a Nurse midwife for more than 13 years. Well-versed in respectful maternity care.

She has sonography skills in obstetrics, gynecology, and general abdominal imaging.

Developed interest in obstetrics for it enhances timely decision making hence improving maternal and neonatal outcomes. POCUS plays a key role in ensuring early detection and management of any complications in pregnancy to optimize the well-being of the mother and the unborn baby.

As a midwife, she believes that POCUS will greatly improve and enhance quality service delivery to the mother and unborn baby in her area of work as well as the resource-limited setting.
