Karthik Kavasseri is a family medicine physician practicing full spectrum care in Zuni, NM. He completed medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and his family medicine residency at the Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, NC. Karthik was a UCSF HEAL fellow working between the Tribal Health Initiative in Sittilingi, India and Gallup Indian Medical Center in New Mexico. Since the completion of his fellowship he has been working at an Indian Health Service hospital in Zuni, New Mexico doing full spectrum family medicine including primary care, obstetrics, hospitalist medicine, urgent care, ER, and everything in-between. He is passionate about the many applications of ultrasound to improve the care of communities, particularly in rural or low-resource settings.
