Maytal completed medical school at New York Medical College followed by pediatrics residency at Northwell’s Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New York. She went on to complete pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center and ventured to the west coast for ultrasound fellowship at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). After briefly joining the faculty at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine she returned to UCSF where she serves as the PEM POCUS education lead. Aside from POCUS, her interests include medical education, pediatric prehospital care, and global health. Outside of work she loves travel, hiking with her crazy dog Milo, live music, and painting.
