Dr. Beltramino is a physician from Buenos Aires, Argentina, specializing in Internal Medicine and Critical Care. He completed medical school at Universidad Nacional de Rosario in 2007, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at the Alfredo Lanari Institute of Medical Research (UBA) in 2012 and a Critical Care Medicine specialization at UBA (2013). Since 2015, he has led the Intensive Care Unit at ITAC, a leading transplant center in Argentina, where he coordinates a multidisciplinary team focused on critically ill immunosuppressed patients, including transplant recipients, oncohematologic patients, and patients with cirrhosis. Additionally, he trains 20 physicians annually in critical care for immunosuppressed patients.
Dr. Beltramino actively integrates Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) into daily clinical practice and has taught POCUS courses to both residents and practicing physicians, particularly for emergency medicine, nephrology, and critical care applications. He has trained numerous physicians in ultrasound-guided management of shock, renal failure, and transplant complications.
His research includes publications in PubMed-indexed journals and conference presentations on topics such as COVID-19 in transplant patients, post-transplant tuberculosis, and venous congestion in kidney transplantation. He was awarded the Florencio Fiorini Research Grant for innovative projects.
He also maintains a private practice in Buenos Aires and collaborates with the Argentine Society of Hepatology.
