GUSI POCUS Fellowship Program

Our POCUS Fellowships are self-paced, customizable, mentored learning experiences. With multiple program options, and over 80 POCUS exam types to choose from, this high yield learning experience is well suited for Residency Program Faculty. This POCUS learning experience is unique and created especially for those in a teaching capacity who want to build confidence and competence with POCUS in everyday clinical practice. 

GUSI Fellowships are suitable for those with all levels of POCUS experience. Our comprehensive structured learning curriculum uses a flipped classroom approach with our online courses to integrate POCUS theory with practical, hands-on scanning experience.

Much like a personal trainer, we will match you with the GUSI Mentor best suited for your schedule, and clinical specialty. Our Mentors are Family Medicine physicians and Resident Program Faculty passionate about sharing their POCUS knowledge and experience. Using real-time tele-ultrasound technology, your mentor can coach you directly as you scan, providing immediate feedback on scanning technique and image optimization. In addition to live scanning, your monthly mentorship session will include rapid fire image interpretation, pearls and pitfalls, and clinical integration discussions. Each month GUSI hosts an open forum, (optional) Rapid Fire Image Review session online.
