Dr. Mena Ramos is co-founder and co-CEO of Global Ultrasound Institute (GUSI). As a physician, entrepreneur, health & medtech consultant, she specializes in healthcare innovation that bridges entrenched divides between primary care and specialty care, human intelligence and AI, developing and developed worlds, and community and academic medicine. She is an Associate Clinical Professor at the UCSF Department of Family and Community Medicine, past co-Director for Ultrasound and Global Health at UCSF Contra Costa Family Medicine Residency and past faculty at Kaiser Napa/Solano Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Ramos received an Alumni of the Year award from Vassar College and was also named UCSF Contra Costa Global Health Alumni of the Year for her leadership of the Ultrasound and Global Health program at UCSF Contra Costa Family Medicine Residency and San Francisco General Hospital.

Dr Ramos has trained POCUS in over 15 countries with over 1,000 individual trainees. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Society of Ultrasound in Medical Education (SUSME), and an official consultant to the International Consensus Conference on Ultrasound in Medical Education. Under Dr. Ramos’ leadership, GUSI has grown from a boutique in-person training organization to a global online training platform delivering the world’s first ScanHub, an integrated learning platform combining courses, mentorship, and AI-driven Q&A to empower clinicians globally.
