Emily Vayda

Dr. Emily Vayda is a family medicine physician and core faculty member at Swedish Cherry Hill Family Medicine
Residency in Seattle WA. She also holds a clinical faculty appointment at the University of Washington. She has been passionate about educating residents throughout her career, especially in settings that improve health equity. At the beginning of her career, Dr. Vayda worked an FQHC leading OB curriculum with US.

Although she was exposed to POCUS very early in her training, with a strong focus throughout medical school training, she became passionate about ultrasound during residency as a part of family planning training.
Her clinical interests include reproductive health, obstetrics, pediatrics, medical procedures, and advocacy. She has found that providing/teaching medical procedures is so much more enjoyable with the help of an ultrasound. She looks forward to teaching with GUSI and empowering primary care physicians to improve access to care and build strong patient-doctor relationships.
