Dr. Nagda Thabet Abdullah Alhissni is a dedicated medical professional specializing in obstetrics, reproductive health, and emergency medicine. Based in Aden, Yemen, she brings extensive experience in clinical care, medical supervision, and training in women’s health.
She earned her Bachelor of Human Medicine and Academic Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Aden. Dr. Alhissni has completed multiple specialized training programs, including foundational and refresher courses in Integrated Child Health Care provided by the World Health Organization (WHO), and several Basic Ultrasound Training Courses at Sonar Academy, Cairo University , and the University of Aden. She has also undertaken professional development in Obstetrics Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and Yemeni Obstetric Emergency management.
Professionally, Dr. Alhissni has served as an Emergency Obstetrician and Reproductive Health Supervisor at a health center in Aden Governorate, as well as a Rapid Response Doctor in the general emergency department.
In her current role as National GUSI Lead for Yemen, she leads efforts to advance ultrasound education and improve maternal and child health outcomes through hands-on training and capacity building.
