Dr. Shima Mohammed Ibrahim is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Aden, Yemen. From 2005 to 2013, she served as a resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and later earned her Master’s degree in the specialty from the Yemen Medical Council for Medical Specialties.

During her residency, Dr. Shima completed an Ultrasound Course in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In the following years, she received training as a POCUS (Point-of-Care Ultrasound) Trainer and has since trained several midwives and physicians in the field.

Dr. Shima takes pride in being one of the POCUS trainers in Yemen. She strongly believes that the widespread use of POCUS will play a vital role in reducing maternal and fetal complications, improving healthcare outcomes, and lowering maternal and fetal mortality rates across the country.
