Thomas Benzoni

Thomas Benzoni, DO, is an Emergency Medicine specialist based in Des Moines, IA, with extensive education and experience in the field. He graduated from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983 and completed further training at Creighton University and Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital. Currently, he serves as the Medical Director at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s-Downtown.

His career includes roles at F. F. Thompson Hospital, Kentucky River Medical Center, and other institutions. Dr. Benzoni is experienced in urgent care, ultrasonography, search and rescue, and patient compliance. He has authored publications on COVID-19 vaccination in emergency settings and medication prescribing in the elderly. He is recognized as a Fellow by the American College of Emergency Physicians.
