Jeff Pierce, MD, is a family medicine physician who first learned POCUS while working in South Sudan and Kenya. He attended the Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency (SRFMR) from 2004-2007 and later completed a fellowship in Global Health Leadership through Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Massachusetts General Hospital from 2012-2014. During this fellowship he focused on high risk and surgical obstetrics, as well as POCUS in resource-limited settings. He has taught inpatient adult medicine at the SRFMR and obstetrics and lifestyle medicine at CCRMC. He worked in Latin America, Asia, and Africa intermittently from 1997-2014. He is boarded in family medicine and lifestyle medicine.
