
Chandler Stisher

Chandler Stisher, MD, MPH, FAAFP, is an assistant professor in the UAB Department of Family and Community Medicine. He is a rural family physician based in Boaz, AL, and is the founding program director of the UAB Marshall Family Medicine Residency Program. Chandler started his POCUS journey during his third year of residency. He currently practices in both the inpatient and outpatient settings and uses POCUS every day. He previously completed the GUSI POCUS fellowship, and he enjoys teaching POCUS regularly to medical students, residents, and colleagues. His specific passion is to equip medical students and residents who will go on to practice in rural and resource-limited areas with the knowledge and skillset to use POCUS in their daily practice.
In his spare time, he loves spending time with his wife, Amanda, who is also a family physician, as well as their daughter, Leighton.
