POCUS Essentials Course for Members of the South African Academy of Family Physicians (SAAFP)

Learn POCUS at your own pace through our online video curriculum. This is not your standard ultrasound course; our modules are engaging, clinically-oriented, and allow you to track your performance as you go. You will leave this course with the skills and confidence to integrate POCUS into your practice and enhance the bedside experience for you and your patients.

Topics include:  FAST, Cardiac Echo, Lung, AAA screening, Gall Bladder, Cellulitis/Abscess, Renal & Bladder, DVT, OB, Musculoskeletal, Ultrasound-guided Procedures, Pediatric Ultrasound, Skin & Derm, with new content constantly added.

The AAFP has reviewed GUSI’s Essentials Course in Point of Care Ultrasound and deemed it acceptable for up to 25.00 Enduring Materials, Self-Study AAFP Prescribed credit. Term of Approval is from 06/01/2022 to 06/01/2023. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  AAFP Activity #97273.
