Every Scan Saves Lives

Your support brings life-saving ultrasound technology for pregnant women in rural Ghana.

Every Day, 23 Mothers Die in Ghana from Preventable Complications

Most deaths occur in rural communities where mothers are never scanned and high-risk conditions go undetected until it is too late.

Together, we can turn these numbers around.

Our Program

Intervention
We equip midwives with portable ultrasound devices with tablets, train them to use the technology, and provide ongoing clinical support
Application
With these skills and tools, midwives can scan mothers during antenatal visits—even in the most remote clinics
Impact
The scans detect life-threatening conditions early like stillbirths, ectopic pregnancies, placental problems, breech and mothers are immediately referred for adequate treatment

Testimonials From the Field

My work as a midwife has changed tremendously since starting to use POCUS. So many women are using scans now. It has helped us save many lives. So many women have gained a lot of confidence in us. They feel reassured, and this has increased their trust in us.

Midwife, Western Ghana

Every pregnant woman in the town has to travel for hours to Takoradi just to get a scan. But now things like fetal heart monitoring and measuring amniotic fluid, they can now do that here.
