    • POCUS MSK Training Day Course Description:

    Join us for a full day of hands-on Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) training at Norso Medical, Blackwater Business Park, Mallusk Way, Newtownabbey, BT36 4AA on Friday 5th June 2026.

    This study day is designed for GPs and doctors in training who are interested in developing accurate diagnostic skills at the bedside using POCUS. Led by experienced clinicians, the course combines focused theory sessions with supervised practical scanning throughout the day.

    By the end of the day, participants will have gained practical, hands-on experience across six key POCUS applications — giving them the confidence and competence to apply ultrasound assessment directly at the bedside in their everyday clinical practice.

    Accreditation

    This course is accredited by The CPD Certification Service (6 CPD credits). Participants will also receive access to three months of online USS educational materials on MSK POCUS upon registration.

    No prior ultrasound experience is required. Our courses are designed for all experience levels, from complete beginners to those seeking to advance their skills. We recommend reviewing the “Scanning Technique” videos in your complimentary online course access before attending for an optimized learning experience.

    Yes, you will receive both CME credits (typically 13.5-16 hours depending on the specific course) and a certificate of completion. GUSI also provides a transcript with lessons completed and test scores. For residents, we provide residency directors with a template for minimum scanning competency based on AAFP curriculum guidelines.
