POCUS for OB Nursing 2023 — Sat. 12.2.2023, 9 am – 1 pm

This engaging course in POCUS for OB Nursing will consist of an online portion as well as a live half-day course, split between short lectures and hands-on scanning practice, with GUSI Faculty Dr. Jeffrey Pierce.  Each participant will receive an individual GUSI user account and a year’s subscription to the course’s online modules.  The course is worth 8 CE credits.

This new course in POCUS for OB Nursing will empower L&D and ATC nurses to use POCUS in patient care. 

The live teaching portion will consist of a half day session with GUSI Faculty Dr Jeffrey Pierce, with both didactic and hands-on, scanning practice sessions.

Course location: Conference room 1 (located in MHC Building 1, right across form the antenatal testing room)
Course time:  9 am to 1 pm

The online portion of the course will consist of several modules from GUSI’s Essentials Course in POCUS. The modules include pre- and post-tests, didactic videos, and quizzes on POCUS for OB topics. We estimate the online portion will take learners about 4 hours.  You will have a year of access after your chosen date to compete the online modules.
